Is BYD Ethical?

BYD is a Chinese car and manufacturing company which is the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles and has ties to the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese Military ^[1][2], and has utilised forced Uyghur labour ^[1], "slave-like" working conditions ^[3][4] and human-trafficked workers ^[5]. BYD has tried to silence those who criticise them using legal action ^[6][7], and its factories have polluted their surroundings and caused illnesses in local children ^[8][9][10].
